So they have no right to dictate other than to gain comission kick backs ? I am looking to go ltd when i land a contract that is viable for me to do so. Working as an employee under an umbrella means i can cover myself through jobseekers during times of unemploymemt as im a single parent so...- bradhilt

all my expense receipts are sent with my expense claim form to the umbrella company every week . are you saying i should keep it ? or as my employer they should hold these on file for 6 years ??- bradhilt

Thank you mr robin i will from now on keep a record of all my expense receipts and car journeys etc . i guess its better to be safe than sorry ! really dont want the tax man knocking at my door holding his hand out !!- bradhilt

mileage expenses
sorry yes i was invoicing the client through the umbrella company as the mileage was payable expense outlined in the contract. Sorry but i was told that i am an employee of the umbrella company so i shouldnt have to put in a tax return . am i right here or not ?- bradhilt

mileage expenses
It looks as if my umbrella company has been helping me evade tax !! I must state that i was completely unaware this was happening until just now . when claiming mileage i have been invoicing my agency @ 20p per mile and then submitting mileage expenses on my umbrellas web portal @40p per mile ...- bradhilt
