This thread is more worrying than satisfying. Mr Upton stole 500k of client money and stole a further 1.1 million from his currency scheme investors. By law he can't be in control of a company/director/significant person until 2027. Isn't it time Dynamo and Fox-Bartfield said something? This...- Bagpuss

Vase, the pronunciation of...
The original pronunciation of Bath was "Baff" it was bastardized (mainly by Londoners) to "Baarf" in the 1600s along with some other words where a redundant r was added. So the proper English pronunciation is not to add the r to words. -

Dodgy Accountant and corporation Tax
Upton conned me in a very similar fashion to this. He filled a null return to HMRC and told me I owed the £s that my accounts indicated. I paid HMRC, and of course there was no debt on the account, and I put the account into credit so they issued a refund to me, via a cheque in the post...- Bagpuss

Demand for statisticians is crazy ...
I can tell you why this is happening. There is no young blood in the industry, almost everyone is senior. Maths and life sciences are unpopular. The traditional routes into the industry are being dropped by the Universities because of the lack of demand. There are lots of Chinese but they... -

Manchester
You are just highlighting the bad bits. there are more millionaires in South Manchester then anywhere outside of Westminster or Surrey. Crime is low, it's not overcrowded, the people are friendly and the countryside is beautiful. The only other part of the UK I would consider moving to is Cornwall. -

I sent you a PM. I think he has to serve 50% of his sentence before parole. So that's 3 years. I'm guessing they will knock the period off he was on remand. Which was a couple of months I think. So he's done circa 8 months with a possible 28 to go i.e. he could be out in just under 2 1/2 years...- Bagpuss
