Staying in the same public sector contract after April 2017
There are a number of bodies now classifying their contractors as Outside supposedly using to the HMRC tool. However putting a big caveat on the notification emails stating as the guidance and tool change all the time, the determination may change at any point as well. I have a feeling once...- 225c

Plan to increase National Insurance scrapped - BBC News More info will appear shortly one would presume. Not a major thing in the grand scheme of things but every little helps. (until they take it by other means..)- 225c

I have been speaking to Capita about this for a couple of weeks, needless to say their responses are not exactly helpful. Firstly they told me if I stayed at the PS organisation they would deduct 25% as a "secondary jobs tax rate" which clearly doesn't exist. Someone else then told me they...- 225c

Public Sector body change of role and new contract..
Ah that's the information I was after. Should this other role come up I will investigate if I can contract through another intermediary. My reasoning for this is that even with all the extra tax being taken the benefits of staying (i.e no commute etc) where I am just out way the financial hit...- 225c

Morning all My current contract for a role finishes at the end of March. There is a chance I would be able to stay at the same public sector organisation but in a completely different role in a different part of the business.
