Unpaid holiday and income tax amoint

    Hello all,

I am trying to understand how I am being taxed. In umbrella company, how does income tax is calculated after being on unpaid holiday.? I realised after my holiday, income tax was not part of the total deductions hence I got paid nearly 2x more.

We can only give you a general idea which will still probably not answer your questions. First thing to do is speak to the umbrella and get them to explain it in detail with actual numbers. They are your employer now so they should be your first stop for pay. If they explain it and you still don't understand then come ask.

Send me your payslip and pay summary and I’ll have a look because without the actual information all we can do is guess what is going on
