Expense rules do vary depending on what medium you are working through.
The way Umbrella Company expenses work is that the Umbrella Company is providing a service to the client and not supplying a person (like a recruitment agency). This difference enables Umbrella Companies to offer reimbursement of expenses. Because you are working away from the Umbrella Company's Head Office you are deemed to be working at a temporary work place which means there are certain costs in travelling there etc that you can be reimbrused for tax free.Comment

Good information here, and throughout this site. It's going to take a while to digest everything
I went down the limited company route and use a really competent account. Can't stress enough how important the word "competent" is, as I have been burned by some less than competent accountants in the past, which made the whole IR35 process a great deal more stressful (and expensive...)

you should see "CUK Navigation" and under that "Company Formation".
The short answer is, you pick someone to do it, bung them about £100 and it is done in a day or two.My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment
