BT Infinity 1 - web page load is crap but download speed is not!

Just moved from Sky Fibre to BT.

Download speed is reported as very good BUT web pages are very slow to load indeed. Seems to be an issue for a lot of people.

Anyone else had this? Wondering if using public DNS server would make a difference. BTs seem particularly pants.

I was going to say DNS. Try using 8.8.8.8.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Best way to check what you should be getting down the line, connect a PC or laptop to the white BT box (the one that connects to the BT master socket via RJ11) with an RJ45 and create a PPPoE connection using your BT credentials from that....then try a BT speed test, if that comes back crap then you've got an issue which is on BT's side....if that comes back with a decent speed then the issue is on your network side.

What results does speedtest.net give you?
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist

Are all Web pages slow or just some. If so, which?

Thought I deleted this post, seems not.
