    He has got MS. Not too serious and he still has more energy than most folk without, but he has been working to set up a business for 2 years and he has to put in some long days. He is lucky his GP prescribes it as some won't. He keeps it to a minimum.

    Apologies, I think I misinterpreted what you said.

    I would agree, if you take too much, or take it too late, it will keep you awake, but if you use it properly, it works fine.

    No, when did I say that? It works fine for him, no side effects, just lets him function more like he used to.

    I thought you said it doesn't work on him, unless he took it late in the day or in excess?

    100mg - 200mg is a normally prescribed dose, although a quack friend I used to play cricket with has prescribed it at 400mg for sleep apnea patients of his.

    I dont think we differ essentially, it will keep you awake sure, but the advice is generally take it in the morning, you can generally still get a night's sleep. Depends what you call a moderate dose, my 14 stone hubby is advised to take 100mg, by his Gp , does him very well to keep going all day and sleep that night. He wouldnt take more unless it was some exceptional situation.

    I take it if I have some long distance driving to be done, and it keeps you fresh and alert.

    I'd dare say if you were revising for an exam, it would be cracking, as well as during an exam, but I digress
