    I once changed some money in Zurich airport and then checked the rates when I arrived in Manchester airport and was shocked to see what lousy rates Manchester were offering in comparison.

    When the B.O.E. agreed to print money when the F.R. printed money to keep the £ in line with USD. That brought an end to good rates for £ with Euro.
