    FWIW, this was a subplot in Coronation Street tonight: Are macaroons biscuits or cakes?

    I reckon the Coronation Street producers are keeping an eye on the activities of the courts for freaky stuff like this coming to judgement - it's a very effective way of incorporating something mildly amusing into the show that will resonate with viewers who have watched the news earlier, without confusing those who haven't. Given that they have to record the show several weeks in advance, they either got very lucky, or they take note of the dates when the courts have indicated judgement will be passed on weird stuff and incorporate such memes accordingly
