Personally, I think the government needs to invest money on discovering a "Human to Oil" process. Once found, we can cure oil prices and prison overcrowding at the same time!!!
And we could have wasted time developing alternatives to fossil fuels, when this time next week a litre of fuel will be about 50p.

Well, it was only last week that a planned 2p a litre tax increase was threatening to bring down the government, or something. Now they can go ahead with that and no one will be able to complain. Splendid.
Yep, as the price falls, the government will gallently "take up the slack" with some nice green taxes.
