Absolutely, and as a parent, 'letting go' is a very difficult thing to do. But this girl seems to have just been left to the mercy of others while her Mother swanned off to another part of India.

Clearly this mother thinks that a child of 15 is an adult.

Anyone who has been around teenagers knows they are not and that is why there are laws in place to protect the child.

Any good parent should feel being responsible in this case - even if they are not the sense of guilt should be present. This woman is clearly responsible for leaving her daughter on her own, yet she denied feeling being responsible at all blaming the killers.

hear hear - of course at 15 she should have been allowed to, say, go to a disco with friends for a few hours. but to be left for several days, even with other adults, is just not on.

Not sure why she wanted kids.
