I have 'acquired' responsibility for 30+ staff
Most impressed, me. The last time I acquired any responsibility the staff in question all formed a little group and dived over the nearest cliff, chittering madly as they went.

Tell 'em to stick it, it feels good !
I have had a business bulls**t, all talk no action, southern consultant type dropped into my area.
Everytime he asks me a stupid question or for help doing something damn routine I think I have made the right decision to leave...

    the 'Ask Milan' thread.

I'm in a similar position - got told there was no extension, now an extension might be available but it looks like the conditions (team, rate, deliverables) will be worse. Also, I feel like a semi-permy here.

Do I break out of the comfort zone and try and find a new gig, or stick with this?

    ahh,

too subtle for me, my interpretation was you saw a picture of yourself, man of principles and unsuccessful, and were naturally offended by what you saw in the mirror

That was my subtle way of inferring like attracts like MB. Perhaps it was too subtle...

I imagine you know plenty of unsuccessful people Milan!

Personally, I think Cyberman hit the nail on the head - The secret is not to become a slave to money. Of course, Milan has no choice as tape changing doesn't pay that well...
