I agree, the last few times I've needed them the AA have been excellent. They were also able to read the fault codes off my car after the Honda dealer had said they couldn't do it as mine wasn't compatible with their system.

Register at an address > 1 mile from your home, e.g. Parents house, someone in the AA call centre tipped me off on this one

RAC have always been pants.
