    aye aye boyo,

    it's not so much about 4x4 or 4x2

    it's about how the engines and in particular diesel pumps deal with the differences in viscosity between bio diesel and normal diesel

    it is well known the old diesel mercs will burn almost anything - yes that's an exageration but you know what I mean

    amazing ruling, wonder why ?

    buy a 10 year old Merc diesel, or Volvo and as described above run it on cooking oil

    one for the people

    give it a few years and the UK will look like Argentina !!!

    You can now stick cooking oil/biodiesel/chip fat/whatever in your car and you don't need to pay the 28p duty and submit records to the HMRC.

    So if you are a tight wad, you can buy an old diesel banger and stick cooking oil in it. It also means your money ain't going to the government or Middle East oil producers.
