    You see this is precisely what hacks me off. I mean, good luck to scooby for doing well, but in general most govt projects are a "good doss" because they are poorly spec'd (mucho changes = £££££ to the contractor) and poorly performance managed (££££££s wasted, contractor breathes sigh of relief).

    If this govt would spend as much time getting the basics right with its large projects as the HMRC does in pursuing stuff like Arctic, it might actually save a few ££££s. And who knows, it might then even relax its tax agenda (stupid thought, eh?).

    good doss, 18mths away from home, nice bonus!

    It was always going to cost more than budgeted, in factm we never really had a budget! it was all a case of jsut get it done.
