If you're with an umbrella on PAYE then you are entitled to a one week notice period and your employer is the umbrella co.

The first one is the umbrella story we are going to see a lot of.

It's the last question I feel sorry for. Finish work on Friday for a new job that was starting on Monday but is now not starting until (at least) July - the old company isn't keeping them on so they are out of luck.

Not my wording obvs but the title of an article in today's Telegraph

Don't know if it's of any interest because I only got to the end of the 1st paragraph before being informed that I've reached my free article limit.

Really, you'd think these online rags would remove their paywalls at a time of national crisis when everybody is clamouring for information.

Anyhow, perhaps someone with a subscription could copy and paste the content here if it's of any interest.
