Unless you want to give them a lift or end up with an angry boss at the northern office who is blaming you for the lack of tea workers you need to explain to the chief tea maker that you cannot offer them a lift so they need to sort something out.

WHS. When I originally read this my first impression would have been just to say no to stick one in the eye of the onshore resources that come over an expect company buses and shuttle buses to be put on to get in to work. They do here.

If you do end up giving them a lift, make sure they bring a bucket; that bit where they spit the tea out after each mouthful could make a right old mess.

How many resource are we talking about - is your vehicle large enough to accommodate them or are you using the 2 seater that day?

By all means be as helpful as possible but do not let them use you like this.

I take it that they have told you that they will pay your mileage costs from your office to the venue via Head Office.

It is the Client responsibility - not yours

so its cheaper for one of them to hire a car.

Its not your problem its the tea companies. Apologise and say that you can't help because you're going up the night before and leave it for them to deal with it.
