And with that nice little clarification (after they were keen to clarify last year) I call this thread closed...

Response from PCS
Good Afternoon
We would be more than happy to remove your details from our database and always have an "unsubscribe" link at the foot of any of our emails. Please email your email address to me - a.greenley@p-c-s.uk.com and I'll be happy to remove you from the mailing list if you are still receiving unwanted emails
Regards
Abigail Greenley

As stated in my note above. PCS have been in contact with Contractor UK regarding this thread and I would like to make it clear that people who have been email by them were opted in to their system by certain job boards who Personal Career Solutions have an agreement with. Therefore their email is not SPAM but is mail that you have likely opted in to. They have assured me that they do act on emails requesting to be removed from their systems so if you do receive offers from them that are not of interest then you only have to let them know and they will happily remove you from their mailing lists.

I also get these, but they stopped after I personally mailed the man named in the email; and did my best impression of Malcolm Truss .
Got sent on one of these by the job centre years ago, and it doesnt seem to have changed much, pay us money to tear apart a CV we don't understand and then tell you to use "linked-in" for the holy grail of "hidden job markets".
What a load of tosh.

Prehaps we should all arrange to meet them at the same time and watch from a safe distance..

Post deleted - not 100% certain mine are from the same company, and they have stopped coming now.

Same here, but only the senior consultant, Mr Braybrooke want's to review my situation.....
Got constantly emailed over and over by his "assistant" until I sent a rather short, rude reply... That seemed to do the trick... never heard from them again.

I got "Mr Hudson" as well, apparently he has a few additional appointments available which would be an ideal opportunity to meet with me. Have a look at the website, it's career review and CV optimization service. I confirmed receipt of my e-mail (s) by unsubscribing.

It's only the Senior Consultant that wants to see me - I am not worthyOriginally posted by Bunk View PostI've been getting loads of these too. In my case, their director has seen my details and is keen to meet to discuss my career. Should I feel speshul?

No mention of it costing in the emails but no mention of it being free either. If they were that desperate to "interview" me why don't they come to MY office. It's only about 5 miles away from theirs.Originally posted by eek View PostIs it free? If not (and it won't be) you have your answer.

Personal Career Solutions.....
Been bombarded with emails for the last 2 months from this lot offering me a "career review" - apparently "Mr Hudson" has a few additional appointments available. Anyone used them before or it just the usual fishing exercise.
I'm assuming the latter.Tags: None
