Hmm I'm not quite on £300 but close, they haven't communicated any cut to me so I guess I've been left out, what a shame!
VM are hiring to my knowledge.

That's not very helpfulOriginally posted by MrHelpful View PostWhats the score with Virgin at the moment... are they hiring , is there a recruitment freeze... telcos as a whole seems to be very quiet for any contracting opportunities at the mo. Also £300 p/d.... what is the typical person doing @ Virgin for that amount?? (APART FROM TRYING TO EARN SOME LIVING)

Ever thought of becoming a stand up comic!?Originally posted by Not So Wise View PostGuessing we will see a few more of these, not because things are bad but rather companys trying to reduce cost of contractors while the still can. Day's of contractors accepting blanket rate cuts like this are ralidly coming to an end and clients know it

Do they? I'm not so sure. From what I can see theres lots of people on the bench still competing hard for £200 a day contracts, let alone £300 a day. I'd say the rate-cutting clients are safe for a bit longer yet. Theres a huge backlog of benched contractors to clear before we can all get comfortable again...Originally posted by Not So Wise View PostDay's of contractors accepting blanket rate cuts like this are ralidly coming to an end and clients know it

. . . not forgetting the 10% cut Virgin Media contractors suffered last year.

I wish I was on £300 a day.
I thought we'd hit bottom by now and rates were on the way up slowly?
