Haha. Same here. Initially declined but then fairly soon after realised that they actually meant it! Middle ground achieved, longer contract and a job in an uncertain market. Can't grumble!

Very true, used to invoice on last day of month before 9am, and then funds would clear same day via chaps about 4pm ish.
Now invoice last day of month and funds usually clear within 10 working days, which to be fair is still acceptable for me. Beleive they had certain credit lines pulled so had to change payment terms.
I always try and keep a very good relationship with the accounts payable teams, a thank you for prompt payment e-mail and the odd box of chocolates goes a long way with them
RE : Rates, PP tried to squeeze 20% off everyone a couple of months ago, most like me negotiated a middle ground for longer rolling term contracts. Those that didn't and dug there heels in, are now gone.........

PP have had their rates squeezed and been paying late.
I think a lot of this is to do with the client. IMHO not the geatest telecoms company I've come across.

Sounds like I wont have any worries dealing with PP should I get the gig.
If I do get it, I will let you know.

If you want any more info from someone on that gig, pm me.

I've been working with them for some time and everything has gone pretty well. Can't think of anything to complain about from my own experience.

I worked for them in 2001, had good service and no issues with pay etc.Originally posted by Mustang View PostHas anyone had a contract through Project People? If so, what are they like?
I may have landed a new contract through them so was interested to know what they were like whilst in contract. In terms of recruiting they seem to be much the same as anyone else...!!
TIA
