Thanks to all who are offering to fill in some spare time!

To be honest the opportunity has not come to fruition yet and I don't know if and when it will - I did not intend to raise anyone's hopes at this stage!

I should also re-iterate this is a data management / data quality task so experience with messaging, lotus etc (sorry tinners!) is not really relevant.

I will update this post when the situation becomes a little more certain.

    Cheers

    Ok - genuine interest

I'm on a contract at the moment that doesn't occupy me fully so have capacity to take on more work.
I'm currently "Data manager" in the PMO office of a big project.
    Previously "Data Integrity Programme Manager"
Prior to that, all manner of data related roles.

I'm still very hands on, but I've mellowed over time and can see the business side of things much more clearly now too and tend to get involved in both.

What else can you let slip about the jobs?
    Thanks Oliver

Posting some ads may be a good idea, even on this site. When the opportunity comes closer to fruition I can do so.

In the meantime I do not want to say too much in case my competitor is reading this board! If anyone is genuinely interested please PM me and I can give a little more info and I will solicit CVs and your daily rate if you are still interested.

    Cheers

Why not put an advert on cuk? As long as the mods believe you are not an agency you should be fine.

You're probably better posting an advert somewhere like Jobserve - even though one-off adverts cost quite a lot.

It'll be easier to pick out the suitable ones out of the replies you get, rather than to search a CV database and hope that the people you like are up for a 2-week placement.

Technical forums or people you are friends with who work in the right area and need some extra money?

  • Got opportunity to sub-contract some work - where to get the people?

I have come across a couple of opportunities for short term work that I cannot handle as I'm busy elsewhere. It is not programming or development but "semi-technical" in that it requires a good understanding of data management and data quality issues.

Where is the best place for me to find people who would be willing to do such work which is probably no more than 2 or 3 weeks at a time?
