Invoice matches bank statement? No remittance advice needed. Even if they don't match as long as the discrepancy is properly rectified there's no value to be had in retaining a remittance advice. I think I've generated two in 13 years of trading, just because I wanted something official looking to accompany a cheque (remember them??).

For reference that is the standard payslip / remit produced by Tempest, the pay/bill software used by a lot of the larger agencies in the UK.
Changing the working requires paying a day rate to the devs so everyone just leaves it saying "payslip"

I've been getting these each week (from them - 99% same agency) for the past 18 months. Not worried.Originally posted by James Gardner View PostHi,
I've been working for this agency (different contracts) for a year or so. I work outside of IR35 and through my own limited company but recently they've started sending me extra documents with their remittance advice:

The PDF is prefixed with PAYSLIP_ and I've blacked out the sensitive parts. Should I be worried? in particular I'm concerned about how this might make me look in the eyes of HMRC. It's basically describing me as an employee through a limited company which I would refute. Any one else seeing this sort of thing?

I've had the contract checked by QDOS and they have raised a few issues, which the agency addressed.

It’s a remittance advice. I’d hope that a remittance advice has a pay date on it - that’s the date the payment is made for the invoice. Also, by it’s very title of “remittance advice” it is a payment from a customer to a supplier.Originally posted by oilboil View PostThe terms WORKER NO and PAY DATE in this image ring alarm bells with me - surely the poster is a service provider not a "WORKER" - the dictionary definition being "an employee, especially one who does manual or non-executive work"
I'd be telling them to send a different remittance advice or moving on
But since it is a note to say a payment has been made against an invoice, then it’s of little value compared to the invoice itself or the money in the bank account.

You could of course ring them and ask them to explain.

Plenty of agencies do these. As long as it’s day rate + VAT with no deductions then carry on.
