Some agencies will not accept a change of limited once a contract is started except at renewal. You need to contact the agent and tell them then see how amenable they are to the change.Originally posted by astonishingxp View PostHi All
I have my own ltd company and am in a long-term contract with an end client through a 3rd party hiring agency.
How common is it to approach a hiring agency to notify them about the formation of a new limited company mid-contract?
Is there a best practise approach or can I just inform the hiring agency and give them the new ltd company details?
This is the first time I've had to do this so wondering how best to approach it?
Any info welcome
Thanks
B.

You need to agree it with the agency in advance. The contract is with your company so you cannot just inform them.Originally posted by astonishingxp View PostHi All

Not sure why you would want to do this but may be easier at renewal.

Why are you changing LTD?
They'll probably grumble a little bit as they'll have to re-issue all the paperwork for your new LTD. The old stuff won't be valid anymore as it's an agreement between them and a now non existent LTD.
I'd speak to the agency first and see how they want to play it.
