Been on ~£400 in the present gig and have been doing a 90 mile round trip everyday. Previous gigs also paying more or less same. Have seen through all my gigs without either party terminating early.

Have been tempted by a couple of recent £550-600 roles (100-110 miles round trip however) - good match for my skill set as well am pretty confident that I can bag at least one of those.

Will all the uncertainties coming up in April, I was thinking to give up and just jump ship.

Actually I'm second chip leader in my poker tourney with the money coming up so I'll play the waiting game and take the bite here.

First... You have nothing. You have no decision to make except do you apply.
Secondly... It's highly likely they are 25% more for a reason and if you've been on £400 a day there is a chance you you might be being slightly over confident...Are they in IB where won't have a chance if you don't have experience? That said you never know until you apply.
(You get the gist with the numbering so Ill stop)... Not really a good idea jumping ship until you really know whats happening. You might look a bit daft if you fall foul of the rules in the new gig but were ok in the old one. Nothing to stop you applying first though as per the first point. Am not sure the thought to jump ship because of the uncertainty is a sound tactic but maybe I'm reading that wrong.
... Sometimes a bird in the hand is better. You have a solid gig whereas the new one might evaporate at a moments notice, you can decide if the extra money is worth that risk though.

If you've considered all those points and you still want to go through with it then fill your boots. It's your career not ours.

Your post is go generic I can't see what you are after?. Are you just blogging what you are thinking or are you actually seriously considering this and have the process to start in your head? What exactly are you asking? You want our opinion?
