What does the crowd think of:
Skill1 Ninja
Skill2 Guru
Skill3 Jedi etc
I think it's very daft so mine just says Technical Director as it implies both seniority and technical expertise, but I also like Principal Consultant that someone else proposed.

I don't have a business card. If I did though, it would reflect my skillset.

Actually, I use them quite frequently when they're available. Scanning a single QR code and clicking one button to add a person's entire set of contact details (Name, phone numbers, email addresses and more) to my contact list is far quicker and more convenient than manually typing it all in (not to mention with the added possibility of typo's and errors).Originally posted by SimonMac View PostLose the QR code, when was the last time you used one yourself

i go with SQL ProfessionalOriginally posted by TheFaQQer View PostMine doesn't have a job title on it.
I so rarely give them out that it makes no difference - I give out a few every year at the Oracle conference(s), but that's primarily to enter the competitions.
Covers most bases if they want more detail they will ask

Lose the QR code, when was the last time you used one yourselfOriginally posted by billybiro View PostI have a QR code printed on my business card! I also have my name and contact details, along with my technology specialisms, but no real job title to speak of. (Looks a little bit like this: http://i.imgur.com/6jB3Xel.png (this isn't me - just a similar looking card I found on the interwebs)).
My name and contact details are encoded into the QR code so that people I give the business card to can either scan the QR code immediately (and not need to take the card away with them - saves me a fortune as I can reuse it!
) or they can take it away and either manually key in the details to their phone or scan the QR code. Best of both worlds!

I know I usually end up dumping business cards in a drawer or the bin and assume others do the same to mine so I put my details into a QR barcode on my phone so it can be scanned if you meet someone you want to be in touch with and it gets saved to their contacts. So much neater.
