Does anyone know if that is compliant with regulation and possible please?
    Thanks,

If your wife and kids are in NZ I would find something closer to home.

    Dear Dave,

We are in a similar situation. We are not-based in the UK but we are looking to bid for some contracts in the UK via our non-UK company. If we get a contract, one of us will be sent to the UK for more than 6 months while others will be working on the project from our home country. We would like to know what UK tax liabilities would be for that person working in the UK. Would be grateful for any information you can share. If you could also recommend a tax consultancy that can deal with this, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Interesting point, assuming that many countries have tax free allowances similar to the UK, how on earth do you align them?
I'd guess you get slapped by the negative end of the worst alignment, but that's speculation on my part.

    Kia Ora,

I am in a similar position to yourself, being in the UK for about 6 months before returning to NZ. I chose to work through an umbrella rather than forming a new ltd company for a limited time (see what I did there?), and trying to get clients/agents to work through my kiwi based company is far mar trouble than it's worth.

OK so I take a bit of a hit in my take home pay (potentially) but I believe it's worth it.

If it's only for 4 months you shouldn't go down the ltd route anyway and use Umbrella instead. I suppose you have the right to work in UK.

I don't think you'll find an agency that will do it - there's lots of off-shore regulations that they would need to check up on, which is probably more than their brains can handle.
