People's Challenge to the Government on Art. 50: A Parliamentary Prerogative
This proposal from a tireless team highlights the need to ensure existing citizenship rights for British nationals in the UK is maintained, with any changes decided upon in parliament.
Bizarrely it seems the current government, as with their approach to everything right now, wish to solely try decide what's best. There are very good reasons this is against protocol.
It's heading to the Supreme Court after the challenge from this team was thankfully successful. I do not understand why a political party is trying to erode rights for UK nationals on its own terms, as this destroys the reputation of the party. Seems an odd choice.
Yes, I'm aware the Conservatives wish for a free-market 'utopian' nightmare, but these sort of general citizen rights are surely seen as fundamental and to be left untouched by a single political party by those in both camps.
