    And, as if by magic

As Pondlife says the UK equivalent is an umbrella company. They will employ you under a contract of employment and will have a business to business contract with your agency/client. They will raise invoices for the work that you do and then process a salary payment to you through PAYE. Please be aware that your take home pay through any umbrella company should be the same except for their margin - there are some unscrupulous companies out there promising 80-90% take home - if you have a wander around the board you'll see the sort of trouble they can get you in

Contracting through payroll company in UK?

    Hi,

I've been contracting in Australia for a number of years, and instead of having my own company for invoicing the client, I use a 3rd payroll company who invoice the client and pay me as a regular PAYE employee (they deduct and pay my tax and super) for a 1.5% fee. The fee is a high over a year but saves me the hassle of registering a company and paying for an accountant.

I've been considering shifting to the UK for 6 months to take role with one of our vendors in London and wanted to know if I can use a similar invoicing arrangement there and what are some recommended payroll/contractor services companies that I could use?

    Cheers
Working...
