Doing my own payroll .. am I doing this right
1. Using HMRC's Basic PAYE Tools, set up myself as Director "paid as normal employee", no student loan
2. Nil return for April
3. Make salary payment of £589 for Month 2
4. Pay myself £589+£97.86 tax refund (I was employed elsewhere in Month 1)
5. Nil tax to HMRC, so complete relevant thing here: HM Revenue & Customs: No PAYE/NICs Payment Due
6. Print off Payslip for myself (I can just DIY this in Excel ?)
.. and that's it each month, plus P11d in July, and then next April I need to submit the P35, P14 to HMRC and a P60 for myself ?
Not really done payroll so just want to check I haven't missed anything..Tags: None
