I had this problem last quarter. I phoned them and they said it had already been sent weeks earlier but they would send a duplicate anyway.

Two days later I get the duplicate and in the same post the original?
    Fishy or what!

Is it any wonder we pay so much tax if they have to send everthing twice.

Pah. You get Your Co to sign upto the government gateway then you can do what you like. Register for VAT Online, PAYE Online (P45s etc) also do year end for PAYE Online - great is you use something like sage as it submits the forms for you.

    Cheers

Nope, shan't. I have a policy of using paper for tax as far as possible. Since HMRC's entire existence is to cost me time, money and grief, I see no need to make their life any easier.

Never ever had one turn up less than a month early. Perhaps yours has fallen behind a machine in the local sorting office? I should request a duplicate to be safe

Anyway, not having the form doesn't mean you can't (or shouldn't) pay. If all else fails, send a cheque and covering letter to your VAT office by the due date.
