    Secondary is the threshold for employers, primary for the employee over which the NI kicks in. The levels of the thresholds were different but from Apr-17 both are the same.

    Primary and secondary threshold for 2017/18, are both set at £157 a week (£8,164 per annum).

    Anything above this will attract NI, both employees (12%) and employers (13.8%).

    Stupid question but what is the NIC class1 thershold? ~ £8000 I seem to remebner, but what is the exact figure?
