Just checked my taxcode on my GIANT pay slips and its wrong, defo explains the 'it must have gone missing in post !!!!'Originally posted by mrdaviesI have just recently left Giant, they were ok with me, some minor niggles but on the whole ok. Set up my own Ltd company after reading the many posts on here.. best thing i've done.
I got my P45 from Giant but it had the wrong figures on, i was on a W1 weekly basis so the figure i had earnt in my time with them was WAY out.. how will this affect things? Will it get sorted at some point down the line? (already fired off question to my accountant, just wondering what you guys think)
Cheers
Anyone else using GIANT might be worth checking you not on last years tax code.Last edited by Ivor1; 31 October 2006, 09:26.

Think main issue with GIANT is the staff Ive spoken to seem to a bit challenged mentally, nothing wrong with that, Im all for care in the community, but I dont think putting them in positions of relative responsibility is appropriate. They probably cant spell P45

Giant are the most devious, underhand buch of tulips I've ever dealt with. Took them nearly two months to send me my P45. Every time I called they assured me it was being dealt with. They could not offer any reasonable explanation as to why it was taking so long and when I pushed for an explanation of what the delay was they just hung up on me.Last edited by Contractor UK; 30 October 2006, 14:26.

Giant
It's not often you see Giant and Problem in the same sentence.

Just login to their Client Portal and take a copy of your last few payslips and the dividend document thing.
I gave these to my accountant and he sorted it from them.
Same for me, P60 never turned up and P45 never turned up. Mr Matt Brown (GIANT MD) if your reading this post sort it out !!!

Yes I had the same problem. Didn't really matter that much. I kept asking them for it and eventually it arrived.

It shouldn't make much difference - provided you have earn't over your tax allowance. you should get the standard code but on a week1 (non cumulative) basis. If you get issued with a "BR" code then ring the tax office and get them to give you your tax code at the new employer and "BR" to giant.Originally posted by MobileCheeseIf it doesnt turn up, the option I have is the P46, but will that mean emergency tax ?
