  2. Company on pause

A very interesting opportunity has presented itself but it is firmly inside ir35. If I took it, I would just leave the company not trading for a year. There's no immediate problems with that is there ?

  3. IR35 Pension Contributions

I am currently in contract inside IR35 for a PSC client. I accepted the initial contract post the whole IR35 situation thinking it was going to be only a few months. They have now asked me to extend another 12 months. (As an aside, is it possible to get an inside IR35 contract flipped to be...

  4. Does taking an insideIR35 PS job risk future outsideIR35 assessments

I've worked outside IR35 for 10 years in numerous contracts in the private sector. There is an interesting role just come up in the Public Sector which they have stated is inside-IR35. The job is very similar to all the other jobs I've done in the past. If I take the job, does the fact that it...

  5. PS Outside IR35 Contract Review

I've been offered a PS contract that the PSB has declared as outside of IR35. However I'm a bit concerned about some of the T&Cs the agency has put in it - notably something similar to the attempt to shift liability mentioned here: Recruiters shift IR35 liability costs to contractors ::...

  12. Ir35 take home 85% under umbrella.

Can someone explain, why is it that you can take home 85% contracted by umbrella under ir35 ? Outside ir35 working for your own LTD you used to pay 22% after expenses. So it doesn't make sense. At the end seems like you are actually paying less in taxes. :(

  17. PS IR35 - Paystream and still use ltd instead of umbrella - VAT?

Confused here. Apparently, if you do it this way, you have to charge vat. At the moment, using normal umbrella, I just fill in timesheet, umbrella processes it and lumps into my current account. I'm looking into payroll service instead, but, apparently, vat comes into it. OK say its £100 a...
