    Expenses for private sector ir35

Hi, I understand expenses cannot be claimed as tax deductible for public sector ir35, is this the same for private sector?

I'm considering a temporary contract which will incur significant unavoidable expenses (travel, subsistence, accommodation) as it's a long way from my home, probably about £1.2 a month.

I'm slightly concerned that the work will be deemed as inside ir35, and am waiting a response from HMRC. In the meantime it would be useful to know if I can deduct expenses from my tax bill as.

    Thanks

Inside IR35 is inside IR35. Public or private sector is irrelevant.

One pound twenty a month isn't a lot.

        Wasn't there something about a 5% allowance?

Not for travel etc. It's a total joke, I don't know where to begin.
