    Important news about *.eu

Brexit is coming, and it brings changes to .eu domains like *.eu.

Now that the UK has voted to withdraw from the European Union, the registry for .eu domains (EURid) has decided to revoke domains registered to UK residents, and prevent them from purchasing new ones.

In light of this decision we will no longer offer .eu domains to UK residents. EURid may act as early as March 30, 2019, but the deadline might shift as Brexit negotiations continue.

You still have options, though. You can either update your registrant address to one outside the UK, or replace your .eu domains with another option. Read this article to learn more.

It doesn't matter as there are so many domain extensions now all but .com has become worthless. Saved me a lot of money by not bothering with anything but .com except for the .uk for the business domain.

Yeah i tend to stick with .com, .uk. Why buy .eu when it won't be around for that long

this can be used as a great analogy for how the eu are dealing with brexit.

Taking all their toys away to try and make things difficult - when in reality there is no reason to do it, it adds no value for either party and ultimately nobody cares about the .eu domain anyway.

Just like dealing with spoiled fokkin children.

              Who is doing the leaving?

Why don't you just change your standard response to "I blame the EU for everything", would save you a lot of typing. Or failing that, maybe share what it was you voted for - oh yes, to leave the EU.
And now you're complaining because the UK is leaving.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

You and you fellow Brexiters are like the spoilt children. You've left, it was your choice, you voted to leave, Britain is now a "third country" as far as the EU is concerned.
Why on earth would you want to use the EU. domain in those circumstances, when you're not EU?
My 8 year old is more logical than you.
                Hard Brexit now!

What part of “member state” don’t you understand?

They’re not taking any toys away, we’re leaving the place where the toys are, remember?
