    Giant Umbrella Mortgage?

    Hi all

Is anyone on here who works through Giant Umbrella and has successfully gone through a mortgage application process?

I'm having massive issues with Leeds (who are reputedly contractor friendly) as although I've explained my situation as an employee of Giant they are fixated on the word "contractor" so have asked to see 12 months prior contracts, which Giant are refusing to release. This is nearly 2 months into a mortgage application following a successful Agreement in Principal - we have an offer accepted and a now very upset vendor at the delay.

I'm trying to get a view on what is "normal" procedure so would welcome answers from anyone who either

    1) Works via Giant and has successfully gone through mortgage application with Leeds or any other provider
    2) Works for another umbrella and has successfully gone through application with Leeds - did you manage to get hold of your contract docs?

    TIA!

I don't sign them. The contracts are between the client and Giant. All I do is accept an "assignment" electronically.

        Hi

No. I don't sign the contracts, they're between Giant and the client. All I see is the assignment details on the Giant site which I accept electronically.

I have a contract with Giant, but that's generic and doesn't contain any assignment or rate details.

Sorry - been trying to reply but not showing up for some reason.

No I don't, I haven't signed them. I electronically accept an "assignment" via Giant's site then Giant sign the contract with the client. I never see the contract itself.

Someone else started a thread about a portal that didn't allow a safe. Copy and paste text was the only option.

Because it's not information about *me*. It's a contract between Giant and a third party to supply a service.

                  Anyone had similar issue?

That's not the issue. I've sent them PDFs of my contract of employment with Giant, along with PDFs of all the assignments I've accepted, all my payslips etc. They're still demanding to see the actual contract documents. I get the impression that the distinction between contractor thru ltd and contractor thru brolly has not been drawn.

What I was hoping for was some direct experience from anyone who has been through this process with Giant, or with Leeds and another umbrella.
