First Post - Looking for advice from SQL DBA's

Any SQL DBA's/developers or similar on here, would like some advice.

My current (and first) contract is mainly app-support using SSMS to locate/troubleshoot/resolve issues with data. My SQL querying skills are strong and I'm currently working towards an MCSA in SQL Server 2016.

I'd like to secure a DBA contract next but am not sure I have the experience to do so.

Would the MCSA certification allow me to secure a DBA/similar contract, or do you think I will still be lacking the experience required for these contracts?

    Any tips/advice appreciated.

Not really. You are paid because you have demonstrable experience as an expert in your field. A cert won't really help in that. You'll also be up against plenty of other people with many years experience behind them.
