    Shift Allowance

Hi all, I am in a new job which require me to work 2 shift, morning and afternoon shifts on alternating basis.

Should I expect shift allowance to be paid?

Is it a normal practice for a contractor to be paid an shift allowance?

If yes how much should I ask for?

    Thank for your help.

    Nope.

Though you can agree a higher rate overall for having to do shifts.

Just to be clear, are you an IT contractor? Most answers you get here will be IT oriented.
