It's lovely out there today! Very warm indeed.

Had to pop over to St Paul's way to see a man about a tooth. Well, two teeth.

Shame I had to come back to the office afterwards.

Having a day of cold callers. God botherers this morning and some sales person from Credit Safe trying to sell me their business credit reference reports.

          Morning denizens

Grey start out; a bit of low sun made its way through a thinner patch of cloud earlier, but that was an anomaly. Currently 5°C with no better than 9° expected, and there's a 30-50% chance of rain from lunchtime right through to evening. The barometers are down a chunk at 10019/1017mB

I seem to have forgotten to sign off last night

For the record, the car was a Corvette Stingray, brought over from the USA, whose current status is unknown to me as I was busy in the kitchen by the time they'd got a UK plate for it

And the gold diggers were much as usual again. Then there was a new episode of Traffic Cops

And finally I took to my bed and finished reading qntm's Fine Structure which is really rather strange and intriguing, like his other stuff

                Afternoon all

It's cloudy but dry and bright. Currently 13 degrees and that's the high for the day. Rain forecast from early evening onwards. Barometer down to 1022 mBar.

Busy morning. Briefed the PM about a potential stitch up so he was prepped for a meeting we've just had and was able to deflect any potential issues. I've been investigating bugs and writing up the tickets so clever people can fix them.

Lunch was another one of those piadina with cheese and ham. As all those packets are opened I rather need to use them up.

Told clientCo I will be working (aka billing) for the Easter bank holidays.

Lunch was zingy tomato and lentil soup with a slice of wholemeal

It's grey and drizzly out, and seems a bit breezy too. Just one pigeon wandering around the lawn at the moment, and another one rooting around in the central flowerbed; the magpies from the conifer swooped by them but didn't stop

The WifeTM has just sent me a link to a house for sale.
It's our old one in Surrey and is on for about 8% more than we sold it for over 2 years ago.
The video tour and some of the photos are from when we put it on the market, and there's no photos of the new kitchen he put in (so we've been told). Outside, he's pulled most of the shrubs out of one of the flower beds, got rid of a shed that was only a couple of years old, and done some other work. I suspect he's spent more on it than he'll get back.

It's been quite a productive day today, at least by government standards

We potentially have another dev starting next week and, as tech lead, I'll have to deal with the technical aspects of his onboarding. So I got around to dealing with stuff like deployment and continuous integration, which we'd been pushing down the road because with me as the only developer and stuff still largely in the planning phase, none of it really mattered yet. It all seems to work now, so I think tomorrow I'll write up everything that comes up as I go through the process of setting up my dev environment from scratch all over again, just to see if there are any potential sticking points I haven't thought of
