HWMBO isn't yet dead, he made very delicious ginger chicken, numbing potatoes and a papaya salad for dinner. He's now making me a cocktail.

GBBO was watched and I'm never going to get over the mental image of a jelly Paul Hollywood with limey nipples.

"The bad skin clinic" at 22:00 on Quest Red.

      Pustulent goodness.
"OHMSS" rather more enjoyable than "Never say never" and "Thunderball".

Somewhat too long at 2:16 though.

Now for "The Bad Skin Clinic".

1st up: Ichthyosis vulgaris. Poor little sod.

His treatment plan seems to be working well.

      Next: xeroderma pigmentosum,

      Feck me.

      Examined every 4 months.

Diagnosed at 4 with skin cancer on her nose, 15 operations over 7 years.

Has a basal cell carcinoma on her face removed under GA.

We didn't get to see that.

Now a 3 yr old with atopic eczema.

Special jimjams and lashngs of moisturiser and steroid cream.

Even got it on her eyelids, poor thing.

And she's much better after 7 months.

      Rounding off with Verruca.

      "This may sting a bit".

      End of story for verruca.

I found that ep rather upsetting, oddly enough.

No pus at all which was disappointing in the extreme.

Slightly concerning when you mention to the medically qualified member of the household that you have a strange sensation, and then she mentions 3 other things that she’s noticed over the last couple of weeks.
...then says “um... that’s interesting, let’s see how you feel in a couple of days...”

        Anyway, TFBSZ

Slightly more reassuring than "Let's see if you feel in a couple of days"

Tonight's viewing was Ambulance during and after dinner

And then the rest of Game Change (TV Movie 2012), concerning Sarah Palin's contribution to John McCain's failed presidential campaign of 2008. Although it is indeed quite amusing at times, she also cuts quite a tragic figure, being completely out of her depth. She was also profoundly ignorant not only of the rest of the world but, it turned out, even of the United States of America. Not knowing what the Federal Reserve is as the country is facing its worst financial crisis in decades seems like a pretty big warning sign in a Vice Presidential candidate, but the campaign didn't even find that out until she was already on the ticket

Whatever has been afflicting me for the past couple of days seems to be easing off but isn't gone yet, so it's time for an early night in the hope that will see it off
