Morning denizens

Another sunny day out, already at 13°C and heading for 16° if the forecast is to be believed

Blimey. The morning coffee call is a bit sobering. Lots of people reporting friends / family members / friends of friends with CV and a mix of outcomes. Some got a cough, high fever and dead within a few days. Others were in and out of ICU in a week. Others have been in hospital for a fortnight so far.

My nieces’ stepfather (is that what he is? Bloke who married my brother’s ex-wife) picked it up at Cheltenham and was very bad, but only at home; no hospitalisation required. Unfortunately he went down with it just after my nieces had decided to flee London for the safety of the country, so they’ve been in isolation/quarantine until very recently. They and their mother haven’t shown any symptoms (or maybe their mother did have some very slight ones, can’t remember), but they assume they’ve been infected and were just asymptomatic.

A fine day in Gotham City out there. Loving this weather.

Bought a garden roller so need some sand to fill it, but that seems to have gone the way of hand sanitizer and toilet roll a few weeks back.


There must be an open air kids sandpit I can "borrow" some from near me?

My first indegogo delivery came today

Which quite a farce watching it be rooted around the city as they muppets put the wrong post code on the package (I had to double check I gave them the right postcode, and for once I didn't **** up myself)

Lunch has been a couple of slices of toasted soda bread topped with mushrooms and tomatoes - all cooked in a bit of garlic and chilli. Soda bread doesn't stand up well to wet things like tomato.

An early lunch on account of not having my customary morning biscuit.
