Wow, I didn’t expect such an attention on my first day since joining the club! Thanks guy, I am flattered.

Well, I may as well introduce myself, and apologies for not having “come out of the closet” earlier, but I try to stay away from computers on weekends (not that I succeeded much, being Sunday..)

Anyway, first of all let’s disappoint those “sexually adventurous people” out there and let’s reassure Flubster: it does mean Business Intelligence. By the way, Ardesco, if you ever find that fit as **** chick with an even fitter girlfriend let me know (and with that we have also resolved the mystery of my gender/sexuality…).

Now, about me: as my username suggest (or I thought it did before reading this post), I am a Business Intelligence contractor (mainly Business Objects, but also Crystal Reports/Enterprise, Reporting Services and the obligatory DB stuff (SQL Server, DTS, some datawarehousing etc.). I have worked as a permie for a few BI consultancies for some years before “seeing the light” and deciding to join the contractors fraternity early this year and, I have to say, things have been great since then and the future looks even greater. I know I am preaching to the converted, but isn’t it great when you don’t have to deal with office politics, fascist and ignorant bosses, “implicit contract” sh*t and all the like? Now it’s just a business transaction: all I need to do is do my job (professionally) and all the client has to do is pay me. Great!!

But I am digressing! All I really wanted to say is nice meeting you, the forum looks good and I have already found some very useful information on it, so please keep it up. And if any of you needs some BI help, I’ll be happy to throw my 2 cents worth of support.

    Happy posting

You'll find a certain MF knocking on your door very shortly...

MF = MarillionFan. He's just read a book and now he's a BI contractor (or something like that)
His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...

Well, we could leave the mystery unsolved, or we could play one of those "the answer can only be yes or no" games (and asking me if I am a bloke, or questions that may give the game away don't count).

                  Who's up for it?
