Great timing for those on four week notice periods

          I'd guessed.

This isn't going to end well; it's just cranked up massively from last week. Head-in-the-sanders (as opposed to his cousin Bernie) will be completely shafted.

+1. We have done all we can to alert people, if they are caught afterwards I think we can all safely say that we did our best and couldn't really do much more...

And there will be people caught - even IPSE members, as we know how few people actually read things...

                  ...
I'm sure there will be enough low-hanging fruit/victims for HMRC to claim before they get to IPSE members. For the IPSE members, they'll only be able to take on a subset (was outside, now inside, same agent, same dept, same role) with a level of confidence.

The flip side of all that is the public sector departments appealing direct to government that HMRC are leaving them unable to deliver; whether that will fall on deaf ears due to them seemingly having a one-size-fits-all ethos to gig workers remains to be seen.

I have a funny feeling when HMRC get in to someone their membership status won't be a factor. That would show bias and give everyone an easy out.

That wasn't meant as a dig at IPSE, it was just a statement that just because people have been told it doesn't mean people actually listen / read what they are being told.
