    Connection between WC and MyFD

Sorry for the late reply but I have just come back from OZ.

If you have had a look through the various threads on this site you will find your answer.

But in summary I think “DNA” was inferring family ties hence the nickname but I will fill in the blanks due to my involvement with them:-

Anthony George Andrew Ward (Current Director of White Collar Financial Limited) worked for Ravi & Arrti Ramyead in 2007 (after he left “IT Data & Support Systems”) who were the directors of ASMG Limited (who offered EBT schemes) based in St Albans at the following address:-

    23 Porters Wood
    St. Albans
    Hertfordshire
    AL3 6PQ

Which is the same address as Anthony’s mum’s company “Morgan Vale Limited” – guess who was also a Director “James Panter” from White Collar.

Ms Ann Turner Ward was the Company Secretary of Anthony’s company – White Collar Consulting Ltd which was also in St Albans. She must be in her 80’s now but you can send her a birthday card at 188 Watford Road
    St. Albans, Hertfordshire AL2 3EB.
Anthony is now a director of “Theta Partners Limited” along with Mr Ravi Prasad Ramyead at its registered office in Lincolnshire.
    Company number
    07478529

    Registered Address
    Templeman House C1
    The Point Office Park
    Lincoln
    Lincolnshire
    LN6 3QN
    United Kingdom
    https://www.duedil.com/company/07478...ited?flagged=c

Now, don’t jump to conclusions here, as some of you will say, wai there,… isn’t that the same location as “Templeman Financial Limited” whose registered address is at Templeman House C1, The Point Office Park, Weaver Road, Lincoln, LN6 3QN.
You, of course; must make your own conclusions – but if you need more clarification then I am happy to steer you through the mucky waters of the family connections.
Hope this has answered your question but I have only relayed what is available on this site and the internet (but could be open to subjective nature of my employment connection)

      Letter arrived ...

      Hi,
I got a letter from HMRC in Feb/Mar demanding a very large sum for the tax year 2010/11. I can't reconcile the figure with what I think I did that year and have absolutely no way of paying it. The initial appeal to HMRC seemed to get lost in their bureaucracy and I got some quite heavy handed follow up threats. Eventually I managed to get them to lodge the appeal and that's where we are now.

Big worry for me is that I used the WC scheme from 2010/11 - 2014/15 and am now terrified that every year I am going to get a new letter and eventually a super debt that I have no chance of paying. If there is a private group discussing this and organising a collective legal response I'd like to request to be given access.

      Can anyone help?

Is that letter you got an APN?
If so, I don't want to make you worry even more, but the ones for the following years might be on the way soon.
Start visiting HMRC APN INFO and consider joining Big Group, the cross-scheme campaign for victims of APN (link in sig)

The 2011-12 one is a sneaky new tactic too, basically asking me to fill in a new self assessment. I was with WC too and it looks like for years including and beyond 2011-12, APNs are around the corner. Webberg (Big Group) has posted an update here http://forums.contractoruk.com/hmrc-...king-move.html

It's not an APN but a "Notice of assessment to income tax" for the year 2010/11. I know some other people who used the scheme and they have received similar letters for this and previous years. The advice from the scheme provider was to write back and appeal. They then stop chasing you for the money for the time being. We've all done this.

I asked an accountant to look into this and they gave me some lengthy advice, which seems to boil down to:
            Option 1: pay up
Option 2: hope they don't issue an APN and wait to see if they try and make a legal case against the scheme or one of the people using it. If they win you pay up. If they lose you are ok but they can come back later and try again. In the meantime this is hanging over your head.

Given that option 2 resolves to option 1 in the worst case scenario, we are all going with option 2. But I am seriously worried cause if I am hit with 5 years tax in one go then I'll lose the family home.

I had thought that having submitted a return in 2010/11 and hearing nothing that everything was fine. That's one of the main reason why I continued. If HMRC had written to me in 2011/12 about 2010/11 I would have stopped immediately. The second I got this letter I moved away from the scheme, problem is that is after 5 years.

Settle now or continue with the fight?

              Hi Everyone

I've received my CLSO (Contractors Loans Settlement Opportunity) from HMRC for years ending 07,08,09,10,11. Strange that they have included 07,08 as I never received Payment notices from HMRC for those two years but now they included them in the CLSO.

I paid the £1200 fee to MyFD to be represented and received the MyFD Tax Report. I'm now deciding whether or not to Pay up or continue with the fight.

One of my concerns is that even if I pay up, are HMRC still going to come back and chase me up for years ending 12 & 13 and more importantly what happens to the actual Trust/Loan. I'm guessing the Loan is still in place until Death......or is it?

Is anyone else in this Forum going to Settle?

How do I access the Private Forum? Could someone please share the link with me?

                Hi,

With regards to the 07/08 claim you must request a copy of the discovery assessment that they sent you. This will be dated and 'proof' from their part that they sent it to you. Check that the dates on the letter are within the 4 year window that they are allowed to open the discovery - There are a lot of cases of this happening!

If you were with White Collar until 12/13 no doubt HMRC will come after those years as well. They are currently sending out fishing letters requesting info about tax years post 10/11, so if you haven't received anything yet they will be imminent.

The private forum is not really active any more and as I understand it not taking on new members.

Settlement depends on your own individual circumstances. Whatever you do get independent and impartial advice. I'm not willing to comment on myFD, but personally it's not a service I wanted to take up.

I am part of Big Group which is taking the fight to HMRC, if you are considering not to take up the settlement opp I would advise considering this service.

But since turnover hasn't been around since may you may be better off contacting Big Group (BG) here https://www.dotas-scandal.org/what-i...l/big-group-2/
