Most of the schemes mentioned have already had APN's issued and most are now past their 90 day representation period. As such it's too late to make a rep.

I'm not sure what "sought advantages through DOTAS" actually means. The DOTAS rules are there to give HMRC an early warning of tax planning schemes. It's very much NOT an HMRC approval. All it does it move the scheme up the list of those to investigate.

The website has some alarming implications, including the suggestion that HMRC might use their Direct Recovery of Debts (RDR) rules to collect money. This is unlikely in the extreme and seems designed to scare you.

I'm all for sharing information and to be realistic but in my opinion, there is some of the slick marketing referred to present here as well.
