    HMRC Leaving the country

Do I need to inform HMRC if I no longer plan to live in the UK ?

    Many thanks

You might not have to, but it's a good idea to do so. There's a form for it. Can't remember the details but if you search on google, I'm sure you'll find it.

Yes there is a form to fill in ( inevitably)

You wont escape the loan charge though as the cut off point for loans is 5 to midnight April 5 2019 and its too late to leave the UK in the 2018/19 tax year unless you have only had 16 days here already this tax year or are already a non UK taxpayer.

I suspect it gets complicated if you have had loans in the past when you were a UK tax payer......

Yes you do need to tell HMRC.

Used to be form P85 but I suspect is on line these days.

You should change the thread title; it got my hopes up.
