Former Labour minister Frank Field said the number of migrants was unmanageable and made it increasingly difficult for local people to get jobs.
"UK politicians are living on borrowed time on immigration", said Frank Field.
He urged politicians on all sides to stop ignoring public concern on the issue before the BNP found a leader with the "talent" to exploit it.
Frank Field IMO is one of the exceptionally few Labour MPs worthy of some regard.
Modest immigration is indeed a healthy thing in more ways than one. But this continuous wholesale import of people is going to build up a huge amount of resentment - also in more ways than one.Comment

I keep getting emails with photo's from Polish and Russian lady's claiming they want to marry me?? When I reply asking for more photo's I get no reply but I do get even more lady's interested, my misses is getting a bit annoyed by this.
Should I take them up on thier offer to help the UK economy?Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment
