It could also be that they have put the price up so that they can soon reduce it back to normal and claim it as some kind of special offer

Is it the racial mix you are referring to?

              racial mix? what?

Sainsbury's by me is set out very nicely with spacious isles and lots of space. At the same time it is easy to find what you need and there is plenty of choice. Counters are always sufficiently staffed and their products are the best quality IMO - fruits such as Oranges, grapes, clementines etc are juicy and fresh.

The Tesco stores close to me (Handforth, Burnage, Didsbury) are dirty, crowded and untidy. The products are not of the same quality and the place is not as welcoming.

Sainsburys brand match is a con. If they charged more than competitors then refund the money straight away. The voucher malarkey is nothing but a scam to get you back in there to spend that voucher. Asda do the same but in Asda's case you can actually see where the price difference was. Also, this price match is only on branded products stocked on other supermarkets.
I think the problem is you are thinking theya re trying to do you a favour and save you money...

they are not as well all know they want you in their shop spending as much money as possible - all the rest of what they say is bulltulip

The sainsbury near where I stay during the week is rubbish. If you go in after 7 there is never any bread and the fruit and veg looks like its ready for the bin. The only other choice close by is Asda and its a dump!

If you have been to the Sainsbury's in Cheadle (with John Lewis) then I doubt you will find a nicer place to shop....
