    Republic?

in a democracy 51% of the people can vote to take away the rights of the other 49%, in a republic even the 0.1%'s rights are protected

Hey if I could get in there and be bathed in money - I'd probably end up doing the same.

I've always considered a benevolent dictator a good idea. Any around?

Spock: "Trained? Judging from you, I would have guessed it was trial and error."

Except in those situations where it simply doesn't work or causes the wrong things to be done.

I think we need a republic staffed with philosopher kings.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Which particular republic would that be?

Democracy : A system of politics which ensures - that no matter which Party gains the majority vote - the Government always gets in.

And as Democracy falls. Will we see the rise of other political systems?

What happens in General, stays in General.

                  Two different constituencies

Politicians deliver two services: words and actions. Votes can get you words, and money can get you actions.
