    They started building a new tram line down the street from me a 3-4 weeks ago. No sign the works were ever here now, last clearances on Friday.

    Projects could be plenty cheaper in the UK if they attacked them in a similar fashion, they just throw hundred of people on the job at the same time.

      This is the trouble - Any "intrastructure" projects like that will simply attract hoardes of foreigners, and British workers will still be slouched in front of the TV watching Britain's Got Talent, swigging their stella and waiting for their next benefit payment.
